Artist Sebastian Errazuriz Discusses Inspiration Behind Audemars Piguet Collectors Lounge
?In between booth-hopping and admiring art, guests at Art Basel can also take the time to explore the Audemars Piguet Collectors Lounge and immerse themselves in haute horlogerie at the booth, designed by New York-based Chilean designer and artist Sebastian Errazuriz.
Every year, Audemars Piguet prides itself over the design of their lounge, and this year is no exception. Inspired by the ice formations and snowy winters of the brand’s home in Le Brassus, the lounge also showcases exceptional visuals by photographer Dan Holdsworth. The lounge boasts a soundproof room with custom-designed panels of icicles, stalactites and stalagmites. A timepiece chimes at the centre of the room, and along with a striking ice tank at the lounge’s exterior, mimics the rhythm of a heartbeat.
