The Colour of the Season Is Red

There was a celebration of colour throughout the Fall/Winter17 collections, and now that they’ve all wrapped up, it seems red might just possibly be this season’s black. Full conviction in the colour was demonstrated, with complete looks in the brightest shade of scarlet, even down to the shoes. Fendi showed all of their looks with bright red over the knee boots. There were pretty, red dresses at No. 21, Prada, and Valentino. If pants are more the vibe, there was a chic double breasted pant suit from Gabriela Hearst and a tunic-pant number from the interim Givenchy design team. Interesting how this red did not give peacock vibes, but felt incredibly fresh. Clearly many designers took note.
