By#legendAugust 1, 2016
The Association of Illustrators and the Directory of Illustration are putting on the 2016 World Illustration Awards exhibition at Somerset House in London this August. The show presents more than 50 works of illustration, encompassing posters, animation, sculpture and textiles. Illustrations from 66 countries were put up for awards, many from South Korea, China, Japan and Israel. “This year is notable for darker, more challenging work, exploring such areas as the refugee crisis,” says curator Sabine Reimer. somersethouse.org.uk
