Fragment Design x Louis Vuitton in Tokyo
The much-anticipated Fragment Design x Louis Vuitton collaboration pop-up will be hosted by the Mass & Ba-tsu Art Gallery in Tokyo.
For those unacquainted with Fragment Design, the brand was founded by musician, producer, and designer Hiroshi Fujiwara. He was one of the first Japanese DJs and is known for popularising hip hop in Japan. Fanatics know him as the godfather of Ura-Harajuku fashion and the godfather of streetwear, though he has publicly expressed disapproval over the nickname. Fujiwara’s influence extends to BAPE, the Japanese streetwear store whose founder, Nigo, is a close friend and mentee of Fujiwara. In recent memory, he has collaborated with Nike to create coveted sneakers such as the fragment design Jordan 1, Nike Sock Dart or the Roshe Daybreak.
