Stop and Smell the Pollution in Norway
By#legendJune 26, 2017
British artist Michael Pinsky drew attention to the privilege of clean air with his spectacle of art and science, entitled ‘Pollution Pods’, on display at the recent Starmus Festival in Trondheim, Norway. The installation was made up of five interlinked domes, each containing a scent from one of the world’s most polluted cities. Visitor’s moved through the work in a continuous loop, experiencing the vast contrast between the fresh Norwegian air, and that of the cities represented inside.
Pinsky hopes this work will encourage people to think more about the environmental impact of their consumption on the other side of our interconnected world.
